Festoon & line chain
Flat parallel core construction bends cleanly over crane festoon trolleys with a tighter minor-axis bend radius than round MV cables.
Product
DIN VDE 0250-813 (N)TSFLCGEWÖU medium-voltage flat reeling and festoon cable (3.6/6 and 6/10 kV, 3-core and 4-core, 25–120 mm²) for fast-moving STS container cranes and stacker-reclaimers up to 120 m/min.
Application fit
Engineered for high-speed ship-to-shore (STS) container cranes, RMG/RTG yard gantries, bucket-wheel excavators and heavy festoon systems where parallel flat core geometry permits tight single-axis bending radii (408–572 mm) and travel speeds up to 120 m/min without torsional twist.
Flat parallel core construction bends cleanly over crane festoon trolleys with a tighter minor-axis bend radius than round MV cables.
Rated for gantry reeling up to 120 m/min with 15 N/mm² tensile capacity and reversed bending over S-guide rollers (≥ 20 × D).
Stacks stably on vertically oriented monospiral crane reels where lateral wandering or axial twist is prevented.
Flat profile must not be subjected to torsional stress on cylindrical multi-layer drums; use round (N)TSCGECWÖU for torsion.

Three (or four on 6/10 kV 4×35 and 4×70 mm² builds) finely stranded tinned copper conductors insulated with EPR between inner and outer semiconductive field-control layers and individually screened with a concentrically distributed split copper earth conductor (3E or 4E) are arranged side-by-side in a parallel flat plane and vulcanized inside a heavy-duty red polychloroprene (CR / Type 5GM5) outer sheath.
