Fixed installation
Installed on indoor cable trays, risers, masonry walls, concrete ducts and dry/wet building shafts.
Product
N2XH Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen Power Cable (0.6/1 kV) manufactured per DIN VDE 0276-604, HD 604 S1 and IEC 60502-1 with Class 1/2 bare copper conductors (1×16 to 1×500 mm² & 3×1.5 to 5×240 mm²), 90 °C 2XI1 XLPE insulation, halogen-free.
Typical values for this cable type, based on DIN VDE 0276-604 / HD 604 S1 / IEC 60502-1 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Halogen-free replacement for NYY-J PVC power cables in public buildings, hospitals, data centres, airports, metro stations and industrial plants where toxic hydrochloric smoke must be prevented.
Installed on indoor cable trays, risers, masonry walls, concrete ducts and dry/wet building shafts.
Passes IEC 60332-3-24 bunched flame, IEC 61034-2 > 60 % light transmittance and IEC 60754-2 low acidity for tunnels and escape routes.
+90 °C XLPE insulation delivers ~15–20 % higher continuous current rating than +70 °C NYY PVC cables of equal size.
UV-resistant Black HM4 sheath allows outdoor tray installation in conduit; not for uninhibited direct burial in waterlogged soil.
Construction
N2XH-J / N2XH-O showing bare annealed copper conductors (RE/RM/SM), 90 °C cross-linked polyethylene (2XI1 XLPE) core insulation, halogen-free flame-retardant inner filling compound, and black thermoplastic polyolefin LSZH (HM4) outer sheath.
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bare annealed copper conductor (RE / RM / SM) | Solid Class 1 ('RE', 1.5–16 mm²) or stranded Class 2 ('RM' circular / 'SM' sector, 16–500 mm²) bare copper per IEC 60228Low-loss fixed building & industrial feeder conductor |
| 2 | 2XI1 Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation | 90 °C thermoset XLPE compound Type 2XI1 per HD 604 S1, colour-coded per HD 308 S2High dielectric strength & +250 °C short-circuit capability |
| 3 | Halogen-free flame-retardant inner filling compound | Unvulcanized mineral-filled halogen-free elastomeric inner bedding filling core intersticesPrevents chimney effect during vertical tray fires |
| 4 | HM4 Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) outer sheath | Thermoplastic halogen-free polyolefin compound Type HM4 (Black, UV-stabilized)Zero halogen (< 0.5 % HCl), conductivity < 2.5 µS/mm, pH > 4.3 |
Single-core 0.6/1 kV XLPE/LSZH feeder cable without green/yellow core for parallel trefoil bus feeders
3-, 4- and 5-core 0.6/1 kV XLPE/LSZH distribution cable with green/yellow protective earth core ('-J')
