Mine roadway & tunnel wall hangers
Primary duty — suspended on gate-road arch hooks between district transformers and gate-end boxes.
Product
640/1,100 V pliable wire-armoured mining cables to BS 6708:1998 in 3-core (Type 20) and 4-core (Type 21) constructions from 2.5 to 150 mm², featuring EPR insulation, elastomeric cradle core separation, 7-strand galvanized steel armour and PCP sheath.
Typical values for this cable type, based on BS 6708 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Pliable galvanized-steel-wire-armoured (SWA) underground coal-mine roadway and stage-loader cable to BS 6708 Type 20 & Type 21 (640/1100 V).
Primary duty — suspended on gate-road arch hooks between district transformers and gate-end boxes.
Heavy crush-resistant armoured feeder along underground drifts, roadways and transfer points.
Pliable wire armour allows periodic flitting as the longwall gate-end pantechnicon advances.
Pliable wire armour is for roadway flitting, not continuous shearer Bretby flexing.
Use BS 6708 Type 7 ShearerSteel-wire armour cannot be wound onto motorised reeling drums.
Use BS 6708 Type 7 / 11Construction
Three (Type 20) or four (Type 21) Class 5 tinned copper conductors insulated with EPR and wrapped with coloured textile identification tape are laid up around a profiled elastomeric cradle without contacting each other, enclosed in an extruded rubber inner sheath (2.0 to 5.0 mm), armoured with 7-strand galvanized steel pliable wire armour (PWA) and finished with a heavy-duty black chloroprene (PCP) outer sheath (2.5 to 7.3 mm).
