Portable Cords
SOOWSOOW 600 V Portable Cord
SOOW is an extra-hard-usage flexible portable cord for industrial equipment, tools, generators, and temporary power. Common constructions combine Class K flexible stranded copper conductors, heat-, moisture-, and oil-resistant EPDM insulation, and a durable oil-resistant CPE outer jacket in a round, normally unshielded build. The two O letters indicate oil-resistant insulation and jacket, and W identifies applicable wet-location and outdoor service. A -40°C to +90°C marking is common, with 105°C variants available on qualifying products. Exact AWG range, conductor count, dimensions, ampacity, and UL, CSA, FT, or MSHA markings are confirmed against the selected part number.

- Rated voltage
- 600 V
- Core configuration
- Round, normally unshielded; commonly 2 to 5 conductors, with shielded and higher-count control versions per the ordered construction
- Temperature range
- -40°C to +90°C marking is common; 105°C variants available on qualifying products
In-house capability
In-house design
Constructions are designed around movement, environment, and electrical duty.
In-house manufacturing
Materials, dimensions, marking, and finish held under in-house manufacturing control.
Laboratory verification
In-house laboratory checks verify the agreed construction and project acceptance requirements.
Custom-to-spec · OEM / ODM
Development can start from a drawing, specification, cable marking, or physical sample.
SOOW family construction is published from the standard product marking; exact dimensions, ampacity, temperature marking, and UL, CSA, FT, or MSHA certifications are confirmed against the selected part number.

Engineering selection required
Use these values for project screening. Final construction, dimensions, quantity, reel length, and availability require engineering confirmation.
Fit for your duty
Confirm this cable fits your equipment and duty.
Built for industrial equipment and machinery, portable and heavy tools, temporary power and extension assemblies, generators, and portable lighting where a flexible oil- and water-resistant cord is required. Continuous submersion, direct burial, cable-tray, hazardous-location, and mining use are matched to the specific product marking and approvals. Conductor count, AWG, temperature, and certifications are confirmed against the ordered specification.
