Fixed installation
Reduces insulation mass by ~25–30 % vs PVC while meeting Class C (+125 °C) and high scrape standards.
Product
FLR9Y-A is an ISO 6722-1 Class C (-40 °C to +125 °C) halogen-free reduced-wall automotive primary wire insulated with impact-modified polypropylene copolymer ('9Y' = PP). Boasting the lowest insulation density of any automotive polymer (≈0.91–0.98 g/cm³ vs 1.3
Typical values for this cable type, based on ISO 6722-1 Class C / DIN 72551 / LV 112 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Specified for weight-critical EV and passenger-car cockpit harnesses, roof and door modules, high-density ECU signal looms and halogen-free cabin wiring requiring Class C (+125 °C) rating without cross-linking.
Reduces insulation mass by ~25–30 % vs PVC while meeting Class C (+125 °C) and high scrape standards.
Hard, low-friction PP wall inserts cleanly through micro-connector mat seals without buckling.
PP has higher flexural modulus than PVC; for cold flexing door boots prefer FLRYK or FLR2X-B.
FLRYK cold-flex wireThermoplastic PP softens above +160 °C; for high short-circuit overload use thermoset FLR2X.
