Product
FLR4Y-A is an ISO 6722-1 Class C (-40 °C to +125 °C) reduced-wall automotive primary wire insulated with tough thermoplastic polyamide ('4Y' = PA11 / PA12 nylon). Offering 5 to 10 times higher needle-scrape abrasion resistance than PVC and near-zero swelling i
Typical values for this cable type, based on ISO 6722-1 Class C / DIN 72551 / LV 112 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Specified for fuel-pump module wiring, automatic transmission valve-body harnesses, ABS/wheel-speed sensor leads, seat-frame mechanisms and un-taped bracket crossings requiring extreme cut-through and hydrocarbon resistance.
Slides effortlessly through tight conduits and metal brackets without chafing through.
Concentric Type A conductor and hard PA12 wall feed smoothly through automated harness machines.
PA11/PA12 resists continuous immersion in gasoline, diesel and ATF oils inside fuel/gearbox housings.
Rated to +125 °C; for +150 °C to +200 °C transmission/exhaust zones specify FLR7Y (ETFE) or FLR6Y (FEP).
FLR7Y +150 °C ETFE wireConstruction
Symmetrical concentric bare or tinned copper conductor (Type A) + reduced-wall thermoplastic polyamide PA11/PA12 insulation (4Y, -40 to +125 °C, halogen-free).
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cu-ETP1 concentric copper (Type A) | 7- or 19-strand symmetrical concentric bare (or tinned) annealed copper per ISO 6722-1ISO 6722-1 |
| 2 | Polyamide PA11 / PA12 insulation (4Y) | Halogen-free heat-stabilised engineering polyamide compound rated -40 °C to +125 °C with high Shore D hardnessDIN 72551 |
| 3 | Self-lubricating nylon outer surface | Ultra-low-friction, cut-through-resistant polyamide surface with colour/tracer identificationISO 6722-1 |
Symmetrical concentric bare copper with PA12 reduced-wall insulation for high-abrasion chassis and seat mechanisms.
Tinned copper conductor with fuel-grade PA12 insulation to prevent sulfur/organic-acid attack on copper inside fuel tanks and gearboxes.
