Application fit

Is CRANE-2ST right for your machine?

Round PVC control cable with two vulcanised external galvanized steel wire ropes in side ears for overhead crane push-button pendant stations.

Self-supporting pendant & push-button drop

Suitable

Primary duty — twin external steel ropes take 100 % of the pendant box weight while copper cores stay strain-free.

Free-hanging vertical run

Suitable

Free-hanging vertical control drops up to 50 m+ on bridge cranes, hoists and monorails.

Festoon & line chain

With conditions

Usable on light C-rail trolley loops driving a travelling operator pendant.

Motorised monospiral reel

Not suitable

External side-ear steel wire profile cannot wind smoothly onto a reeling drum.

Use C800 PVC Reeling

Energy chain / drag chain

Not suitable

Figure-8 side-web profile is incompatible with enclosed energy chains.

FAQ

Questions engineers ask first

Not covered here? Send your drawing — an engineer replies within 2 business hours.

How are the two galvanized steel wire ropes anchored at the crane bridge and push-button station?
At both ends of the drop, slit the thin PVC web between the round cable body and the two exterior steel-rope channels, loop the galvanized wire ropes around thimbles or wedge clamps on the crane trolley and pendant housing, and route the unstressed cable core through the gland.
What is the maximum suspended load supported by the integrated steel elements?
Each of the two galvanized steel wire ropes has a tensile load capacity of 2,100 N (4,200 N combined), supporting both the cable's own dead weight and heavy multi-row pendant push-button enclosures without straining the copper conductors.
What do the two diameter values (e.g., 15.5 / 21.0 mm on 12G1.5) represent?
Because CRANE-2ST has a figure-8 profile with two opposing steel-rope webs, the first figure (15.5 mm) is the diameter of the central round cable body, and the second figure (21.0 mm) is the total width measured across the two outer steel-rope webs.
When should I choose a rubber pendant cable instead of CRANE-2ST?
CRANE-2ST uses an oil-resistant PVC jacket rated from -15 °C to +70 °C for flexing. For sub-zero outdoor cranes operating down to -25 °C or -40 °C, or where hot slag/weld spatter is present, select a polychloroprene rubber pendant cable.
