Fixed installation
Hand-soldered PCB jumpers, wave-soldered harnesses, potted electronics, coils and dense instrument chassis.
Product
Irradiated cross-linked PVC (XLPVC) electronic hook-up wire certified to UL AWM Style 1429 (150 V, 80 °C, 10 mil) and Style 1430 (300 V, 105 °C, 16 mil), engineered so the thermoset insulation will not melt, flow or shrink back on contact with soldering irons.
Typical values for this cable type, based on UL 758 Style 1429 (150 V) & Style 1430 (300 V) · CSA XL-PVC — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Electron-beam irradiation converts thermoplastic PVC into an infusible three-dimensional polymer network (XLPVC). Unlike UL 1061 or UL 1007, UL 1429 and UL 1430 withstand accidental soldering-iron contact, wave soldering, hot potting compounds and flux solvents without insulation shrinkback.
Hand-soldered PCB jumpers, wave-soldered harnesses, potted electronics, coils and dense instrument chassis.
Unscreened internal electronic hook-up wire.
Use UL 2464 / 2517Where 125 °C continuous rating or halogen-free cross-linked polyolefin is needed, select UL 3265 / 3266.
Use UL 3265 / 3266Construction
