Furnace, kiln & high-temp zone
Dual silicone elastomer walls isolate both the conductor and the copper EMC braid up to +180 °C continuous.
Product
SiFCuSi (SiF-Cu-Si) high-temperature screened cable combining a Class 5 tinned copper core, inner EI2 silicone insulation, concentric tinned copper braid screen, and protective outer silicone rubber sheath for -60 °C to +180 °C.
Typical values for this cable type, based on DIN VDE 0250-1 / EN 50525-2-83 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Select SiFCuSi where an uninsulated outer copper braid (such as SiF-Cu) would risk shorting against live terminals or corroding in humid, oily furnace environments.
Dual silicone elastomer walls isolate both the conductor and the copper EMC braid up to +180 °C continuous.
Outer silicone jacket prevents exposed copper screen strands from contacting adjacent busbars or terminal blocks inside hot switchgear.
Used for screened RTD temperature sensors, tachogenerators, and inverter-fed auxiliary motors in thermal plants.
Not intended for continuous drum reeling under tensile load; specify a reeling cable with anti-torsion reinforcement.
Use NSHTÖU for reeling dutyConstruction
Tri-layer Si-Cu-Si construction: Class 5 tinned copper core, inner EI2 silicone insulation, tinned copper wire braid screen (Cu), and outer silicone sheath (Si).
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Class 5 tinned copper conductor | Fine-stranded tinned electrolytic copper (IEC 60228 Class 5)Prevents copper oxidation and solder wicking embrittlement at +180 °C |
| 2 | Inner silicone dielectric (Si) | Cross-linked silicone rubber Type EI2 (EN 50363-1)High dielectric strength and low capacitance for sensor and power leads |
| 3 | Concentric tinned copper braid (Cu) | Braided tinned copper wires (≥ 85 % optical coverage)Provides both electromagnetic shielding and earth-fault touch protection |
| 4 | Outer silicone rubber jacket (Si) | Extruded halogen-free silicone elastomer outer sheath (red-brown)Seals the copper braid against moisture, oils, chemical vapours, and shorting |
Coaxial-style single-core screened silicone hook-up and motor lead wire
Screened paired and multicore silicone sensor/control assemblies
