Furnace, kiln & high-temp zone
Silicone rubber cores and outer jacket remain elastic from -60 °C to +180 °C around furnaces, steelmaking lines, and glass lehrs.
Product
SiHFC (SiHF-C-Si) halogen-free EMC-screened multicore silicone cable with Class 5 tinned copper conductors, EI2 silicone core insulation, braided tinned copper screen, and red-brown silicone outer sheath for -60 °C to +180 °C.
Typical values for this cable type, based on DIN VDE 0250-1 / EN 50525-2-83 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Specify SiHFC where control, sensor, or drive interconnections run through high-ambient zones up to +180 °C and simultaneously require 360° braided copper EMC screening.
Silicone rubber cores and outer jacket remain elastic from -60 °C to +180 °C around furnaces, steelmaking lines, and glass lehrs.
Dense tinned copper braid screen (≥ 85 % coverage) suppresses electromagnetic interference on hot-zone instrumentation and servo drives.
Suitable for fixed cable trays, conduits, and open machine frames in foundries, coking plants, and cement works.
Silicone elastomer has lower tear resistance than polychloroprene or PUR; do not use on high-tension motorized crane reels.
Use NSHTÖU for drum reelingConstruction

| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fine-stranded tinned copper | Tinned annealed electrolytic copper (IEC 60228 Class 5)Resists conductor oxidation up to +180 °C (+220 °C peak) |
| 2 | Silicone core insulation | Cross-linked silicone rubber compound Type EI2 (EN 50363-1)Forms insulating SiO2 silica ash layer under direct flame exposure |
| 3 | Core wrapping tape | Heat-resistant polyester / glass-fleece separator tape over cabled coresBinds the core bundle and prevents braid wires piercing core insulation |
| 4 | Tinned copper EMC braid | Interwoven tinned copper wire braid (≥ 85 % optical coverage)Low transfer impedance for EMI/RFI shielding across 30 MHz–1 GHz |
| 5 | Outer silicone rubber sheath | Halogen-free cross-linked silicone elastomer (red-brown)Resistant to high-molecular oils, vegetable fats, alcohols, and ozone |
Colour-coded or black numbered cores including green-yellow protective earth conductor
Without green-yellow conductor for isolated thermocouple extension, RTD, and control circuits
