Furnace, kiln & high-temp zone
Primary duty — high-temperature steam headers, coker lines, molten salt/sodium piping and reactors up to +600/+800 °C.
Product
High-temperature mineral-insulated (MI) metal-sheathed series heating cable to IEC/IEEE 60079-30-1, IEC 60800 and IEEE 515, pairing 1 or 2 resistance cores with compacted MgO inside a seamless Alloy 825, Inconel 600 or SS 316L sheath up.
Typical values for this cable type, based on IEC/IEEE 60079-30-1, IEC 60800 & IEEE 515 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Seamless metal-sheathed MgO mineral-insulated heating cable for extreme temperatures (+250 °C to +600/+800 °C), high watt density (up to 270 W/m) and severe corrosive or radiation duty.
Primary duty — high-temperature steam headers, coker lines, molten salt/sodium piping and reactors up to +600/+800 °C.
Fixed high-watt-density pipe, vessel, hopper and valve tracing strapped directly to metal surfaces.
Seamless Alloy 825 (UNS N08825) sheath resists chloride stress-corrosion cracking, sour gas and marine exposure.
Hermetically welded seamless metal tube is 100 % impermeable to water, steam, oils and solvents.
Work-hardening metal sheath is strictly for static formed installations, never dynamic reeling.
Use (N)SHTÖU ReelingRigid/semi-flexible solid metal tube cannot be used in moving drag chains.
Use Mica Glass WireConstruction
One or two solid resistance conductors (copper, CuNi or NiCr alloy) are embedded in high-density compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) mineral insulation inside a seamless drawn Alloy 825, Inconel 600, SS 316L or Cupro-Nickel 70/30 metallic tube (optional extruded HDPE/FEP anti-corrosion oversheath for buried or low-temp chemical runs).
