Application fit

Is Besilen ESD Control Cable right for your machine?

Select Besilen ESD Control Cable for wafer handling robots, OLED/FPD inspection stages, e-beam/vacuum load-lock auxiliaries, and thermal chucks inside ESD-protected cleanrooms.

Switchgear & control cabinet wiring

Suitable

Dissipative silicone sheath (10⁴–10⁷ Ω) drains triboelectric static charges safely to ground without particle attraction.

Furnace, kiln & high-temp zone

Suitable

Besilen silicone rubber cores and jacket operate continuously from -40 °C to +180 °C in wafer bake & autoclave zones.

Energy chain / drag chain

Suitable

Low-friction antistatic matte surface prevents stick-slip particle shedding and static tribocharging in cleanroom flexing.

Mine roadway & tunnel wall hangers

Not suitable

Silicone elastomer has lower cut/tear resistance than PUR; for heavy industrial abrasion outside cleanrooms, use JZ-50440 CP.

FAQ

Questions engineers ask first

Not covered here? Send your drawing — an engineer replies within 2 business hours.

How does an ESD-protected silicone jacket prevent electrostatic damage and particle attraction in a cleanroom?
Standard insulating cable jackets (surface resistance > 10¹² Ω) accumulate triboelectric static charges up to several kilovolts when flexed or wiped with isopropanol. Those charges both attract sub-micron airborne particles onto the cable and risk ESD discharge into sensitive wafers or OLED panels. Besilen ESD Control Cable uses a dissipative silicone jacket (10⁴–10⁷ Ω) that bleeds charge continuously to ground.
How must the antistatic outer sheath be grounded during installation?
To drain static charge into the equipment earth, clamp the outer black ESD silicone jacket inside a conductive metallic cable gland or conductive ESD clip bonded to the grounded machine frame.
Why choose Besilen ESD Silicone over SABclean S 776 / S 780 C TPE/PUR cleanroom cables?
Choose Besilen ESD when you need either (a) active electrostatic charge dissipation per DIN EN 61340-5-1 or (b) thermal endurance up to +180 °C (autoclave sterilization, wafer bake plates, thermal chucks). For high-cycle room-temperature drag chains (-40 to +80 °C), choose SABclean S 776 / S 780 C.
Is the cable free of talc and chalk separating powders?
Yes. Standard rubber cables use talcum powder inside the jacket to prevent core sticking, which contaminates cleanrooms when the jacket is stripped. Besilen ESD uses a non-shedding fluoropolymer/fleece release wrap instead of powder.
