VFD inverter to AC motor screened feeder
True planetary bundle transposition equalizes radial/axial H-field exposure so R_AC / R_DC stays near 1.05–1.25 at 20–500 kHz.
Product
Precision multi-bundle high-frequency Litz winding wire (HF Litz Wire) constructed from 7 to 10,000+ individually insulated fine enamelled copper strands (0.020 mm / 52 AWG to 0.50 mm / 24 AWG) twisted in concentric planetary stages to suppress AC.
Typical values for this cable type, based on IEC 60317-11 / IEC 60317-20 / IEC 60317-51 / NEMA MW 1000 (MW 79-C / MW 80-C) — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Essential for SiC/GaN resonant LLC converters, EV inductive wireless charging pads (85 kHz SAE J2954), induction heating coils, and medical/industrial HF transformers.
True planetary bundle transposition equalizes radial/axial H-field exposure so R_AC / R_DC stays near 1.05–1.25 at 20–500 kHz.
Available with extruded ETFE/FEP/PFA or triple-taped polyimide outer insulation for reinforced primary-to-secondary safety isolation.
Class 180 (solderable PU/PEI) and Class 200 (PEI+PAI) grades withstand high-power induction heating and SiC planar transformer hotspots.
Thermoplastic self-bonding overcoat (SB-Litz) fuses wound coils via hot air or current pulse without bobbins or impregnating varnish.
Construction
Representative multi-stage Type 2 / Type 8 build: N1 × N2 × N3 planetary-transposed strands of Ø 0.050 mm (44 AWG) to Ø 0.200 mm (32 AWG) Grade 1/2 solderable Polyurethane (Class 155/180) or PEI+PAI (Class 200) enamelled OFHC copper + optional nylon/natural-silk yarn serving, overlapped polyimide/PET film tape, or extruded ETFE/FEP jacket.
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Individually enamelled fine OFHC copper strands (Ø 0.020–0.50 mm) | High-purity oxygen-free copper drawn to a diameter smaller than twice the AC skin depth δ at the operating frequency, coated with Grade 1 or Grade 2 solderable Polyurethane (IEC 60317-20/-51) or Class 200 PEI+PAIEliminates skin-effect current crowding inside each individual strand and allows direct dip-soldering at +375–390 °C (PU grades) |
| 2 | Multi-stage planetary Roebel bundle transposition (Type 1 / 2 / 7 / 8) | True concentric cabling (e.g. 5 × 5 × 42 = 1,050 strands) where every strand rotates continuously between the centre and outer surface of the conductorCancels internal circulating currents caused by proximity-effect magnetic fields in multi-layer transformer windings |
| 3 | Outer serving, film-tape wrap or extruded fluoropolymer jacket | Choice of Unserved (U), Single/Double Nylon or Natural Silk yarn serving (SN/DN/SS), Self-Bonding thermoplastic overcoat (SB), overlapped Polyimide/PET film tape, or extruded ETFE/FEP/TIW wallProvides mechanical bundle cohesion, high inter-winding breakdown voltage (up to 3–10 kVrms) and bobbin-free coil forming |
Unserved, nylon/silk textile-served or hot-air self-bonding round Litz wire for gapped ferrite inductors, wireless charging coils and induction heaters
Overlapped polyimide/PET film-taped or extruded ETFE/FEP insulated Litz wire rated 1.5 kV to 10 kV peak for HV LLC & solid-state transformers
Roller-compacted rectangular Litz profile achieving 65–72 % copper slot fill factor for high-density EV traction & aerospace generators
