Furnace, kiln & high-temp zone
Survives intense +450 °C continuous heat and +540 °C radiant thermal shock below elevated and ground flare tips.
Product
High-temperature high-voltage flare stack ignition cable combining a 27 % nickel-plated copper or pure Nickel 200 core, phlogopite mica thermal barrier, HV dielectric, and E-glass or SS316L stainless-steel armour braid for +450 °C (+540 °C peak) flare tips.
Typical values for this cable type, based on API 537 / IEEE 383 / UL 1581 VW-1 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Engineered specifically for vertical riser conduits and pilot igniter lances near the flame tip of refinery, LNG, petrochemical, and offshore production flare stacks.
Survives intense +450 °C continuous heat and +540 °C radiant thermal shock below elevated and ground flare tips.
Available with AISI 316L stainless-steel wire armour braid to resist offshore salt spray, sour gas (H2S), and high-wind stack vibration.
Reinforced glass and stainless-steel braids support vertical conduit pulls up 60 m to 150 m flare derricks with appropriate clamping.
Designed for stationary vertical flare risers and pilot lances, not continuous motorized reeling.
Use NSHTÖU for drum reelingConstruction
Multi-barrier flare stack build: 27 % nickel-plated copper or Nickel 200 conductor, phlogopite mica tapes, HV silicone/PTFE composite dielectric, E-glass braid, and optional SS316L armour.
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | High-temp nickel-clad / pure nickel core | Stranded 27 % nickel-plated copper (ASTM B355 Class 27) or pure Nickel 200 (16 AWG to 8 AWG)Delivers high-joule capacitor-discharge (HEI) or transformer spark pulses at +450 °C |
| 2 | Phlogopite mica dielectric wrap | Overlapping synthetic/phlogopite mica-glass tapesMaintains dielectric spacing up to +800 °C even during direct flare blow-down |
| 3 | HV composite silicone / PTFE wall | Heavy-wall high-voltage silicone elastomer sealed with fluoropolymer moisture barrierPrevents condensate flashover inside vertical flare conduits during rain/steam injection |
| 4 | Heat-treated E-glass thermal jacket | Heavy braided continuous-filament E-glass sleeve with high-temp saturantProvides thermal insulation and abrasion protection during conduit pulling |
| 5 | AISI 316L stainless-steel braid (optional) | Interwoven corrosion-resistant 316L stainless-steel wire armourProtects against mechanical crushing, wind whip, and offshore corrosive atmospheres |
Single- or twin-core 15–25 kV flare stack cable with heavy heat-treated E-glass outer braid
With outer AISI 316L stainless-steel wire braid armour for offshore platforms and exposed flare tips
