Free-hanging vertical run
Central rubber-cushioned steel wire rope supports vertical shaft drops of 300–800 m with zero copper strain.
Product
NTMTWÖU suspended mine-hoist control cable (DIN VDE 0250-812, 300/500 V) for long vertical free-hanging suspension in underground mine shafts, featuring a central galvanised steel wire support rope, 3GI3 EPR cores, 'TW' anti-torsion braid, and 5GM3 PCP jacket.
Typical values for this cable type, based on DIN VDE 0250-812 / DIN VDE 0298-3 / DIN VDE 0118 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Select NTMTWÖU for long vertical free suspension in mine shafts, shaft-sinking stages, vertical borehole pumps, and deep hoist cage signalling.
Central rubber-cushioned steel wire rope supports vertical shaft drops of 300–800 m with zero copper strain.
Counter-wound 'TW' anti-torsion braid between the two rubber sheaths prevents cable spinning and birdcaging in deep mine shafts.
5GM3 polychloroprene outer sheath resists acidic/alkaline mine shaft water, hydraulic oils, and flame propagation per IEC 60332-1-2.
Steel support rope and heavy double sheath are built for vertical suspension, not tight-radius horizontal drag chains.
Use JZ-45440 P for drag chainsConstruction
DIN VDE 0250-812 construction: central rubber-sheathed galvanised steel wire rope, Class 5 tinned copper cores with 3GI3 EPR insulation laid in short pitch, inner rubber sheath, TW anti-torsion braid, and 5GM3 PCP jacket.
| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tinned copper conductors | Fine-stranded tinned copper (IEC 60228 Class 5)Laid with short pitch around the rubber-cushioned steel centre so copper remains strain-free |
| 2 | Central steel support rope | Rotation-free galvanised steel wire rope cushioned in an extruded elastomer profileBears the entire self-weight of the vertical shaft cable (breaking load 18–36 kN) |
| 3 | 3GI3 EPR core insulation | Cross-linked ethylene-propylene rubber compound Type 3GI3 (numbered cores + GNYE)High dielectric strength in humid, condensing vertical mine shafts |
| 4 | Inner rubber bedding sheath | Vulcanised elastomer inner jacket over the core assemblyLocks core lay geometry and anchors the torsion-protection braid |
| 5 | TW anti-torsion textile braid | High-tenacity synthetic yarn torsion-reinforcement braid ('TW')Eliminates axial twist when hanging freely over hundreds of metres in a mine shaft |
| 6 | 5GM3 polychloroprene sheath (ÖU) | Heavy-duty oil-resistant, flame-retardant polychloroprene outer jacket Type 5GM3 (black or yellow)Resists falling shaft water, rock spalling, and oil mist |
1.5 mm² vertical shaft signalling and slack-rope monitoring cable with central steel rope
2.5 mm² heavy-duty shaft-sinking and deep hoist control cable for long vertical drops
