Mine roadway & tunnel wall hangers
Double galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) withstands severe radial impact in active haulage drifts.
Product
Heavy-duty Polish underground mining medium-voltage power cable (YHKGXSFtZnyn) built to PN-G-90006 with +90 °C XLPE (XS) core insulation, PVC inner bedding, double helical galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) and flame-retardant red PVC (yn) outer.
Typical values for this cable type, based on PN-G-90006 / PN-93/E-90401 / IEC 60502-2 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
Engineered for main power distribution along underground mine haulage roadways, conveyor drifts and inclined galleries (up to 45° slope) where high radial crush protection against rockfall and mining equipment is required.
Double galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) withstands severe radial impact in active haulage drifts.
Suitable for direct burial in mine floors, culverts and horizontal/inclined drifts up to 45°.
Installed on heavy wall cleats along main underground distribution arteries.
Flat tape armour cannot carry vertical tensile weight; for shafts > 45° specify YHKGXSFoyn.

| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Compacted stranded bare copper (RMC) | IEC 60228 Class 1 (16–25 mm²) or Class 2 (35–240 mm²) annealed copperHigh conductivity and compact circular core geometry |
| 2 | Cross-linked polyethylene (XS / XLPE) | +90 °C XLPE dielectric compoundHigher ampacity and overload margin than PVC-insulated mining cables |
| 3 | Extruded PVC inner bedding (Y) | Flame-retardant PVC inner covering over laid-up coresCushions the XLPE cores against the steel tape armour |
| 4 | Galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) | Two helically applied hot-dip galvanized flat steel tapes (0.5–1.0 mm thick) withDelivers heavy radial crush and rockfall protection in mine roadways |
| 5 | Flame-retardant mining PVC outer sheath (yn) | Self-extinguishing red PVC compound (Oxygen Index ≥ 29 %)IEC 60332-3-22 Cat A bunched flame retardant |
