Mine roadway & tunnel wall hangers
Approved for all horizontal and inclined roadways (up to 45°) in non-methane and methane-hazard ('a', 'b', 'c') mines.
Product
The flagship Polish underground coal and copper mining MV feeder cable (YHKGXSekFtZnyn) built to PN-G-90006 with triple-extruded +90 °C XLPE (XS) insulation, individual copper phase screens (ek), galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) and red.
Typical values for this cable type, based on PN-G-90006 / ZN-TF / IEC 60502-2 — confirmed in the datasheet and quotation for your order.
Application fit
The primary medium-voltage backbone feeder in Polish and Central European underground hard-coal and copper mines, combining individual phase copper screens ('ek') for methane-explosion safety with galvanized flat steel tape armour ('FtZn') for roadway crush resistance.
Approved for all horizontal and inclined roadways (up to 45°) in non-methane and methane-hazard ('a', 'b', 'c') mines.
Withstands rockfall, floor heave and heavy haulage traffic along longwall gate roads.
Connects main shaft-bottom substations to district mobile flameproof transformer stations.
For vertical shafts (> 45° to 90°), specify round-wire-armoured YHKGXSekFoyn / YHKGXSFoyn.

| # | Layer | Material & reference |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Compacted stranded bare copper (RMC) | IEC 60228 Class 2 circular compacted copper (25 to 240 mm²)Low AC/DC resistance and smooth conductor profile |
| 2 | Co-extruded inner & outer semiconductive layers | Cross-linked semiconductive polymer bonded to the XLPE dielectricPrevents partial discharge under MV cyclic load |
| 3 | Cross-linked polyethylene (XS / XLPE) | 2.5 mm (3.6/6 kV) or 3.4 mm (6/10 kV) +90 °C XLPEHigh dielectric margin and +250 °C short-circuit capability |
| 4 | Individual phase copper screen (ek) | Concentric copper wires/tapes over each phase core (16 or 25 mm² total screen)Directs any internal fault immediately to earth before an incendive spark can ignite methane |
| 5 | Galvanized flat steel tape armour (FtZn) over PVC | Extruded PVC bedding + 2 × overlapping galvanized flat steel tapesMechanical barrier against rockfall and crushing |
| 6 | Flame-retardant mining PVC outer sheath (yn) | Self-extinguishing red PVC compound (Oxygen Index ≥ 29 %)IEC 60332-3-22 Cat A bunched flame retardant |
Modern XLPE-insulated (XS) version with +90 °C continuous rating and higher ampacity
PVC-insulated (Y) counterpart for 3.6/6 kV & 6/10 kV legacy mining networks
